Bootsey's Bourbon-Butterscotch Bundt Cake

This is a new experiment. I was in such a hurry to take this to a boubon-loving friend for her birthday that I forgot to get a picture. I guess I'll have to make it again. Darn.

1 box yellow cake mix

1 package (4 oz.) instant butterscotch pudding

1 cup vegetable oil

¾ cup water

4 eggs

¼ cup bourbon

¼ cup vodka

 

Combine all ingredients and mix for five minutes. Bake in a Bundt (or 9” x 13”) pan at 350 for 35-50 minutes, or until cake tester is clean. Serve unfrosted or sprinkle with powdered sugar or Whiskey Cream Sauce.

 

 

 

Whiskey Cream Sauce

1/2 cup sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 cup cream
1/4 cup whiskey/bourbon

​

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Stir constantly over low heat until mixture reaches a low boil. Serve over cake or ice cream or whatever. Lick plate or bowl.
