About Bootsey Botts

When I was very young (two or less), I was shamelessly friendly. According to my parents, I would walk up to strangers and exclaim with fearless joy, "Hi! My name's Bootsey Botts. What's yours?" But that’s not really my name (although some friends call me Bootsey or Boots).

I chose Bootsey Botts as this site’s name to remind myself to embrace that fearless joy. Plus, everything else I thought of was already taken.

I started this site to share my weekly menu planning, recipes, travel plans, faith, and random thoughts. I love to plan, but I have learned to plan flexibly. Because life happens.
